sorry to hear! usually that is the first thing that they do when you go to court! In ca is about 17% + spousal support (before taxes) You need to keep very close records. Personal experience do not give you soon to be ex personal checks! VERY VERY dangerous!

Ir's usually 15 to 20 percent of your salary. Make sure you document all money you give to her for child support. I have friends and family that received or gave cash, with no receipt and then the mom said they never received any money. So always, always, Give a money order, or check, or someway to show that you paid.

I'm not sure of the percent but I got 420 dollars a month for 2 children at one time in my life...really depends on how much money you make.

Sorry you are going through the separation and divorce but hurray for you for standing up early and taking care of your child. The usual amount is 20% of your net pay.

The amount of child support depends on the number of children as follows: one (1) child is eighteen percent (18%); two (2) children are twenty-five percent (25%); three (3) children are twenty-nine percent (29%); four (4) children are thirty-three percent (33%); and each additional child is two percent (2%). Document everything including a signature from you wife that she received the payment each time. Receipts mean nothing unless acknowledged with a signature.

Usually about 1/3 of your income. If that is not enough, you know it, so pay more. Make sure the childs needs are met; food, shelter, clothes, health, daycare. Sit down with your ex and work it out.

try going online and googling your local probate court, they usually have something you can fill out to find out exactly what you’ll be paying… child support is black and white…

you need to be careful how much you send before the divorce goes through...if your sending more now than is required by court they will probably keep it at your current level. You might try asking your soon to be ex how much she needs.
